Nina Vucetic Psychotherapy

My Approach to Psychotherapy

Trauma Informed Psychotherapist – in Person in Sydney or Online
Healing Through Connection

My approach to therapy is relational, person centred and compassionate. I work collaboratively in a way that invites the client into a co-created therapeutic process. Once we have established safety, trust and connection, deeper healing can occur as we uncover patterns, relational wounds and identify how your coping mechanisms came about and the purpose they serve.

Holistic, integrated approach

I am a trauma informed psychodynamic psychotherapist and use a holistic, integrated approach to therapy that draws upon Gestalt therapy, Internal Family Systems, Intuitive Eating Approach, Attachment theory, Interpersonal Therapy, DBT, ACT and Family Constellations.

Relationship is a pivotal role in recovery

As an eating disorder therapist, I draw on mindfulness practices, Intuitive Eating principles and believe that full recovery is possible. I incorporate an attachment lens to recovery and prioritise our relationship as the cornerstone to effective treatment and a pivotal role in the healing process.

Therapeutic relationship

While therapeutic techniques and interventions are undoubtedly important, the quality of the therapeutic relationship can greatly influence the outcomes of therapy.

Ultimately, the therapeutic relationship forms the foundation upon which therapeutic interventions are built. It creates a supportive container where healing can take place, insights can be gained, and positive change can occur.

I specialise in working with individuals who struggle with addictions, eating disorders, developmental trauma, codependency, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I also work with individuals who are navigating life transitions, such as divorce, fertility issues, postpartum depression/anxiety, grief and loss.
